Purpose. This plan sets out how the Institute gathers information about its performance, decides what to improve and tracks improvement actions to completion.

1.Purpose

The Institute's self-assurance approach depends on systematically collecting evidence about training, assessment, support and governance, acting on what it finds and verifying that actions worked. This plan describes the sources, the decision process and the reporting cycle for the current year.

2.Sources of improvement information

Improvement opportunities come from validation reports, complaints and appeals, learner and employer surveys, trainer feedback, internal audits, regulator communications, industry engagement and performance data such as completion rates and assessment turnaround.

  • Validation outcomes and actions
  • Complaints and appeals trends
  • Learner and employer satisfaction surveys
  • Internal audit findings
  • Trainer matrix verification results
  • Completion, withdrawal and assessment turnaround data

3.Decision process

The quality committee meets monthly, reviews the sources above and records each agreed improvement in the improvement register with an owner, a due date and the evidence required to close it. Improvements affecting policy or the strategy register must be approved by the Chief Executive Officer.

4.Priorities for this year

The priorities are to complete the validation cycle for all high-risk units by December, to reduce assessment turnaround to ten business days in every program, to verify every trainer's currency before the annual allocation, and to implement the reasonable adjustment procedure across all online programs.

5.Monitoring and reporting

The Compliance and Quality Manager reports progress against every open action to the quality committee monthly and to the governing body each quarter. Actions overdue by more than 30 days are escalated to the Chief Executive Officer.

6.Review

This plan is reviewed annually in June and updated after any regulatory review.
