Plan and deliver a training session on assessment principles
You are a Trainer in the Training and Delivery team.
What has happened
The blended Certificate IV cohort meets on Thursday evening for a three-hour session on the principles of assessment and the rules of evidence. Twelve learners attend, most of them industry practitioners new to teaching. Two learners have support plans in the student register: one needs extra time for written activities and one prefers oral responses. The Training Manager will observe the first hour and expects a session plan on the template by Wednesday. The strategy register sets the mode as blended with a pre-session online module that learners were meant to complete, but several have not.

Evidence guide
Look for outcomes that are observable and linked to the unit, a structure with realistic timings and varied methods, explicit foundation skills strategies and the two adjustments applied. During delivery observe learner engagement, clear explanation of the principles and rules, and checks for understanding. The evaluation must be honest and specific.
